Details
This Titanium ring features:
- A Polish Finish
- A stunning 2.5mm Gibeon Meteorite Inlay
- A 2.5mm Etched Superconductor Inlay
- A Flat Design
- 8mm Width
Every ring will feature a totally unique pattern, no two Meteorite inlays are ever exactly alike. Superconductor rings are machined from a single section of Superconductor Cable. Superconductor Cable is made up of many highly conductive Titanium-Niobium Alloy rods, which are then insulated by Copper and formed into a large cable. A cross-section wafer of cable is cut at an angle and made in to a ring. The resulting band has a beautiful pattern that is formed by the layers of the Niobium-Titanium Alloy and Copper crossing through the ring at different points. No two Superconductor rings will look the same, as the resulting patterns will vary based on cable and cut. Each ring is custom made at the time of order.
This ring comes with a comfort-fit inside the ring, which means that the center of the ring is true to size and gets slightly larger toward the edges of the ring. The comfort fit makes it easier to get the ring on and off, and fits more comfortably on the finger. Keeping that in mind, if you were sized based on standard fit rings some people like to order their ring slightly smaller than their ring size (normally a quarter size smaller), if they like their rings to be snug on their finger.
We use the alloy Ti6AL4V, an aerospace grade of the titanium. This alloy is more expensive and harder to work with, but is much stronger than pure titanium. Titanium is also unique in that it will not fade or change color, maintaining its light grey color over time.

Gibeon Meteorite features a distinct crystalline structure on its surface, a pattern found only in diamonds and gemstones. This visible crystal structure, or Widmanstätten pattern, was caused by extremely slow cooling of the material in space.
The Widmanstätten pattern will vary slightly between pieces, as will the presence of inclusions. Inclusions are dark spots or tiny holes on the surface of the meteorite that are often traces of metals that, in some cases, do not occur naturally on earth. These inclusions are an important clue to the meteorite’s origin and are identifiers of its authenticity.
Custom Engraving is not available for this ring.
- Superconductor is an industrial material, it’s not made specifically for jewelry, so it can have some flaws in it that come out during the etching process. These flaws can vary from small voids in the material to black markings. The industrial nature of superconductor is part of what gives it the rugged appeal that many people enjoy, but it is something to consider when ordering.
- Sometimes, with a new ring, the copper within the Superconductor can cause some skin discoloration, but over time that will go away and not be a continuing issue.
*We include a FREE Silicone Ring with orders sizes 4-13, to use during those times that you need something a little less formal, or for those times that require a softer ring.
